Tom joined Design Engine in the summer 2020 after completing a BA Hons in Architecture RIBA Part 1 from the University of Plymouth.
His final year thesis project explored the need for good design driven by policy change in our housing infrastructure. Tom’s work in his final year explored future sea level rise within the working waterfront of the Barbican, Plymouth. His final project, ‘Custodian of the water’s edge’, emphasised the need to rethink the way we travel and how we will look back on the mistakes of our past.
Tom has also worked with Hilton Barnfield Architects where he gained valuable experience on renovation and extension of residential property in Exeter.
